Beginning in March 2018, led marketing for the cloudtamer.io product for Stratus Solutions (since acquired by Applied Insight). cloudtamer.io spun out as a separate, independent organization in September 2018 and was later rebranded as Kion.
In several marketing roles at Kion (product marketing manager, senior director, VP), managed product and corporate marketing efforts. Key accomplishments include:
- Created the marketing organization from scratch, growing a team of full-time employees, agency personnel, and freelancers.
- Directed all marketing operations, including in-person and virtual event logistics and management, content development, website development and management, paid advertising, social media efforts, partner co-marketing, and sales team support.
- Developed and managed a $1M budget.
- Completed successful rebrand of company and product.
- Implemented marketing automation and chatbot software.
- Launched organization’s customer community events and Slack channel.

Responsible for marketing efforts to educate, nurture, and acquire partners and customers. Developed marketing content for ANCILE software portfolio, including collateral, presentations, white papers, ebooks, case studies, corporate blog, and website content. Executed social media outreach via Twitter, LinkedIn, and Facebook. Created email and LinkedIn ad campaigns, and supported event preparation and follow-up. Key accomplishments include:
- Grew LinkedIn company page followers by 65% in 2016.
- Extended and grew the customer community through global user group events (doubling attendance between 2012 and 2013), LinkedIn groups (nurturing to over 1,800 members), and participation in social outlets such as Twitter.
- Developed and successfully managed a $1.5M budget.
- Established the ANCILE marketing organization, hiring three team members to fulfill CRM/marketing automation, event management, and graphic artist roles.
- Led efforts to define and implement ANCILE brand, including logo, website, and corporate voice; and developed corporate communications (internal- and external-facing) to launch ANCILE.

Led marketing content and user documentation efforts for several RWD software products, including RWD Info Pak and RWD uPerform. Managed a team of technical writers to produce user manuals, white papers, marketing collateral, pre-sales documentation, and product specifications.
As the community builder, managed the development and delivery of content for the RWD Product Support Center, which provided support to over 3,000 customers. Founded and nurtured the annual RWD products user group conference, a yearly in-person event begun in North America and expanded to Europe and Australia. In addition, inaugurated regular customer webinar series, created and moderated the Customer Advisory Board, and began the user group within LinkedIn.
Previously, managed consulting efforts for implementations of the SAP Knowledge Warehouse (KW) product, a knowledge management development and delivery system. Led KW implementations at more than 10 clients, including several Fortune 500 companies (Mobil, Delta Air Lines, Wyeth-Ayerst). Created performance-based documentation and training materials for SAP implementations at several Fortune 100 companies, including IBM and Georgia-Pacific.

Technical writer and manager of a documentation team producing publications for an Air Force and Army acquisition management system. Produced the complete set of software lifecycle documentation, including system specifications, design documents, software user manuals, and software programmer manuals. Responsible for the project’s marketing documentation, interfacing with corporate marketing to write and design project brochures, proposals, and presentation materials. Developed, wrote, and maintained a set of marketing brochures describing the project’s complete software and services product line. Initiated the effort to develop the first ARINC website, demonstrating a prototype to corporate management.
